Apologies for the long hiatus, been busy between having a new job and sorting a lot of new releases myself, which will no doubt be coming to a less scrupulous blogspot site near you soon.

There's 2 new posts below, I'll get round to filling out the odd gaps in the S.O.D.O.M collection soon, and I'll have to get back onto my anonymous donors for more of the aforementioned endless supply of rips.

Also, a good amount of the older links will be out of date, so if anyone would like them re-uploaded just leave a comment and I'll get to it as soon as possible. Alternatively, go to the usual p2p place and you'll find someone with an Andomorph folder with most of those releases shared.

One-off limited 7" from the 'Brittany' team, laden with floowoorpy synths, chipmunked choppy uppy bits, whimsically structured and very unusual indeed. Both tracks are untitled.

Cytochrome C vs BWK - Yperite (HCN 0)

1998 release, 3 tracks apiece from Cytochrome C and DJ Brainkiller, very heavy on distortion and very strange all round, only one track you could really describe as mixable. All very good fun anyhow.

SpeedyQ's & Armaguet Nad - Untitled(S.O.D.O.M 666)

SpeedyQ's side is a bit more akin to the music he's better known for, and the sound is a lot cleaner than his 002 tracks. Nad is way out on a limb, sounding more like EPC or Attila than usual.

Armaguet Nad & Fist of Fury - Untitled(S.O.D.O.M 005)

This currently will set you back anything from £200 to £400, regardless of the condition. A1 and B1 are pretty standard fare for the respective artists, but all eyes are on Huuiirr, a relentless 2-part epic which has long been a staple of just about any DJ set of this kind.

Angel Flo & Armaguet Nad - Untitled(S.O.D.O.M 003)

The next one here is a bit less orthodox than the last. Angel Flo chips in two tracks which are more monotonous and abstract, one featuring the old non-.wav-played-as-.wav technique to vary things up a bit, the second one is very strange indeed, probably barely playable in a set due to its farty kick and general sparseness. Armaguet Nad is a bit more DJ friendly here, Martyr Killer being a personal favourite.

SpeedyQ's & Maxitrait - Untitled(S.O.D.O.M 002)

And so the big uploading sesh begins, starting off with all the remaining records from Slaves of Devil our Master(except 10a, which is a compilation, and 13 which is pretty new).

The first is arguably one of the most sought after, and was first introduced to many through the era defining DJ Freak @ Geneva tape. This is also a high point for both artists(Micropoint adopting a one-off pseudonym), seemingly saving their most uncompromising material for this EP.

Unilateral - Unilateral (Musiques Hybrides 9)

Another one from the French-Guy-Who-Did-One-Really-Good-Hardcore-Record-In-Bizarre-Circumstances vaults. Leonard De Leonard, as far as one can tell, is a bit of a maverick, and this label seems to deal with just about every genre imaginable. A brief glance at Discogs, his house, techno and 'illbient' releases might lead you to think that an attempt to do music of a more intense nature would result in a clichéd and uninformed product. But amazingly, the end result is a very cohesive and authentic record. Filthy and screechy enough to sit among the more severe French artists, with a strong enough sense of rhythm and occasional hip-hop references to comfortably slip into a Deathchant-esque set with. There's even a very nice and strange minimal breakcore-ish track thrown in for good measure.

We now have a seemingly endless line of rips being donated by an old chum and now a great anonymous Andomorph benefactor. These are not 'new', but have been ripped over the years by both said benefactor, myself, and a few other people, almost like a private version of this blog. So, all these rips are steadily going to be unleashed here over the coming weeks. The first of this collection was up yesterday(To see what was uploaded yesterday, see yesterday's post), and the next will be up in 15 minutes, possibly a few more today. God bless.

Various - Hardcore Fever - Extrem Mission Vol 3(E Child 006)

The final release from what seems to have started off as some sort of minimal techno label. There are two 12"s in the Hardcore Fever series, and 3 compilation CDs of the same name on Omnisonus, presumably the parent label. This one features lesser known producers Delidax(now producing Electro House of some sort, god bless them) and DJ Adess(AKA Stark Miller, also now doing some sort of house music, god bless him too). It also features the debut of a young La Peste with a surprisingly direct track. The rest of the music is very much of the Liza N Eliaz school of gabber. A personal favourite is DJ Adess' Acid Q.G with its gritty percussion and nice build towards the end.

LZ131 - Untitled (Zeppelin MZM4120)

More of the same....well, that's not true. This is more drum machine/distortion territory, ranging from buzzy electro to somaticsian cold synths and 190bpm breaks.

LZ132 - Untitled (Schweiz Records 02)

Ralf Endrass and Christian Treuter bring together afro-cuban jazz, industrial, house, dub and all sorts of other nonsense on their releases, and in the mid-90s produced a series of records numbered LZ129-132, this obviously being the last. Side A is 26 minutes of pretty relentless power electronics, while the flip could have been written by Laurent Garnier, with its jazzy synth solos and all, it's actually quite enjoyable.

Richard Devine - Polymorphic (Six Sixty Six 03)

Debut release from the soon-to-become sound design guru, Korg consultant, about 50 other jobs and occasional musician. As with all SSS records, this is pretty much as severe a work as Devine has done.

B2 Was not only heavily sampled by Angel Flo on S.O.D.O.M 007, but also by Unibomber on Distort 1, if memory serves me right.

Erase Head - Dome (Anticore 02)

This blog isn't normally a place for superlatives or hyperbole, but this is an absolute masterpiece from Poka Michelson. As with most of her output at the time, it's more akin to some of SPK's early hardcore-sounding gear than any actual hardcore at the time(or even since then). The mood shifts at the drop of a hat, with layered collages of atmospherics, treated vocals and what sounds like about 38 abused EMS VCS3s coming and going in the blink of an eye with scant regard for continuity.

She(and her sister Stella, who will feature on the blog at some point too) has a flair for both the demonic and the absurd, and both sisters' work has a tension and energy unparallelled in most 'extreme' music. They demand respect on their own musical merits, neither exploiting or being held back by gender, and without ego or loud faux-punk 'attitude'. There is a false belief that in this area of music there are almost no women operating, but the truth is that, just like all musicians, the best ones tend not to be self-publicists.

Anyone who has wandered onto this page from any of the industrial themed blogspot sites would do well to look more into these two.

Ingler - Reboot System (Psychik Genocide 02)

This is the record that for some reason Audiogenic don't want you to hear. If you go to the PKG site, there is at least one audio clip for every record except number 02. Maybe it's some private issue with Ingler or Xol Dog 400, or maybe it's because it's the only EP out of nearly 40 of real unbridled invention.

Main Damage is the only track that sounds like PKG at the time, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Lectune is very out there, very monotonous and psychedelic. Both tracks on the flip are some of Inglers most ferocious, B2 even employing some NKJE style cover-all distortion to neat effect.

Fast Forward - Bhopal (Rouge De Colere 02)

This was the first(I think) release by the french metal/industrial/speedcore 'band'. It's a rare thing to hear hardcore with actual guitars and the like, in an environment where producers thought nothing of lifting Slayer riffs and putting a kick under it. I'm not overly familiar with FF's later releases on Epileptik and elsewhere, but from memory this is probably one of their better efforts.

Classy old Dan Hekate record from a while back, judging by the run-out it's also a tribute of sorts to Headcleaner. All tracks are rigid but fragmented distorted electro somewhat in the vein of ADC and the like.

Metic - Elektrik Convulsive Treatment (AIR 3010)

97 Release by Brandon Spivey on the Dead Silence(who are now apparently touring with Primal Scream, if you can believe it) imprint. There's one vaguely electro track in among a whole EP of syrupy, bad glue-trip acidic hardcore. Not DJ-friendly, not pleasant and certainly not what the old Chicago lads would call humane use of a 303.

VDD Energise - The Return (Hardisk 02)

A rather overlooked record from 2001 by DJ Valium(We should call him Valyom now thanks to some drug overlord or other taking issue with the name). 4 really earthy, meaty live acidic tracks, awash with shrillness and crunching percussion and the like. Ripped by Helicopterface again.

Also, I just found this nice video footage of him recording his Six Sixty Six EP in Total Output's studio. He also has a bunch of other clips of himself and a few others on his channel there, including a clip of Jeff Mills' first gig in Belgium in 1994.
